Ozone Therapy
Medical Ozone has been in use since the 1870′s but recent development in creating ozone resistant materials has revolutionised the practical usage of this valuable therapy.
Medical grade oxygen is split atomically and reformed to make ozone. When the ozone comes into contact with moisture, it becomes unstable and converts back into oxygen which enters the body.
In medicine, ozone has a number of well established properties; it is antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral yet completely life stimulating to healthy cells.
There are many ways the medical practitioners utilise ozone but I use it as a complementary therapy to assist with detoxifying the body and activating the immune system.
For topical treatments like eczema and psoriasis, the skin is sprayed with water then a cup or bag is placed over the area and flooded with ozone. The moisture starts the conversion to oxygen and many people report a huge improvement in their symptoms.
Rectal insufflation starts with the client under a blanket – there is no need to undress. The patient inserts a soft, small lubricated tube themselves (about the size of a drinking straw) and ozone at the correct concentration is allowed to enter the rectal cavity where the moisture enables it to convert into oxygen.
This process is best built up gradually and although you may have singe ozone sessions, the best effect is twice a week for 6 weeks. This allows the ozonites to build up in the body and there are so many reports of increased energy, pain relief more clarity of thought. The beauty world has cottoned on to the reports that ozone also destroys antioxidants. Knowing that free radical damage is a major contributor to wrinkles it is no wonder that those in the know see ozone therapy as the next fountain of youth!
